Bush Winch and Anchors Pty Ltd (“BWA”) is an Australian company based in Perth, Western Australia. The company was established in 2005 to commercialize wheel mounted winches and ground anchor systems. 

BWA’s objective was to develop wheel mounted winches and ground anchors so that the traveller has a vehicle recovery system that provided a significant degree of self reliance in a wide variety of situations. The following objectives are being pursued:

  • To make the vehicle recovery system widely applicable and reliable by its simplicity of design and use.
  • To develop effective, practical, light weight and compact ground anchors which the winch can pull from.

BWA was founded by Mr. Patrick Verbeek. Patrick has extensive experience in vehicle recovery systems and winching gained from 35 years of work and travel in many remote parts of the world. Patrick has long recognized the need for a simple and powerful winching system which is portable and can meet most travellers’ requirements in a variety of circumstance.

BWA has Patents Pending on various wheel winch designs and anchors.
